We are so excited about our upcoming lacrosse season!!

Our numbers continue to grow and we have an amazing player retention rate that makes us proud. Registration isn’t even closed yet, and as of right now, we will be welcoming back nearly 90% of last season’s players and we are excited that 35% of our current 2023 registrants are brand new to lacrosse this season. These numbers tell us that families are happy with their experience with Berlin Youth Lacrosse and that the word is out that lacrosse is a great sport for the kids of Berlin and more families want to be part of something this good!

As an organization, we take a great deal of pride in knowing that we have qualified, fully vetted, background checked coaches leading our teams. We follow all USA lacrosse guidelines to ensure we are properly developing our players. This isn’t just limited to the rules of the game, but includes things like how often and how long our teams practice, using age appropriate drills in our practices, and ensuring an inclusive atmosphere for all players. We emphasize positivity, respect, fun, learning and good sportsmanship and strive to have coaches that fully embody all of these characteristics.

New this year, we are asking those who have no lacrosse background, but would still like to be part of helping a team, to consider applying for our Sideline Manager/Coach’s Assistant Role. If you are good at taking direction, communicating and have the time to help our coaches set up goals, cones, drills, and help run lines at games, this is the role for you! As an added bonus, you may start to pick up the game quicker and may be able to step into a coaching role in the future!

Below, you will find links to our Coaching Interest Form and our Sideline Manager/Coach’s Assistant Form. If you would like to be considered for any roles for the 2023 season, please submit your interest form by Wednesday, January 18th. Anyone interested in a coaching role will also need to complete a screening meeting with our Coaching Committee, in order to be considered.
